A team of European astronomers has located a black hole lurking a mere 1,000 light years from earth, the closest black hole to our solar system ever discovered, according to a study published Wednesday.
The black hole’s solar system, which has two stars, is so close to earth that its stars can be seen by the naked eye from the southern hemisphere on a clear night.
