While on a grocery run last Thursday evening, I received a disturbing notification on my smartphone.
When I clicked on it, my iPhone launched HaMagen (The Shield), an application released last month by the HealthMinistry to help tamp down the growing COVID-19 pandemic by informing users if they crossed paths with someone who has been diagnosed with the virus.
