Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is convening an emergency meeting of his new coronavirus advisory team on Thursday in response to the rapidly surging number of coronavirus cases.
On Thursday, the Health Ministry reported that the number of people infected with the novel coronavirus the day before was 1,780 out of 28,704 people screened - an infection rate of 6.2%.
