Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Specialist to develop and manage sales of our English-language, primarily non-fiction book portfolio in the Israeli market and worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books, strong relationship-building skills, and experience in library sales and electronic books distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with libraries, bookstores, scholarly and educational institutions, and corporate clients
- Identify new sales opportunities and market segments for ASP's titles
- Present product highlights and negotiate sales agreements
- Manage existing client accounts and ensure customer satisfaction
- Participate in book fairs, educational conferences, and industry events
- Provide market feedback and sales forecasting
- Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Humanities, Marketing, or Business)
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in publishing, education, or cultural sectors
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the US and Israeli book market and educational institutions is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in book publishing or distribution
- Understanding of scholarly and academic book markets
- Existing relationships with Israeli bookstores or educational institutions
