Seeking Final Editor for Jewish-Themed Fiction Book
I’m looking for a thoughtful final editor to be the last set of eyes on a Jewish-themed fiction manuscript.
The book has already been edited. This role is about fine-tuning and flow—spotting anything that feels off, improving transitions, and making sure the story reads smoothly from beginning to end.
What you’ll do:
- Read the full manuscript carefully
- Catch inconsistencies, pacing issues, or awkward transitions
- Look at the big picture: story arcs, character flow, and structure
- Suggest paragraph shifts or light structural changes when needed
- Bring strong attention to detail while respecting the writer’s voice
Who you are:
- At least 3 years of experience working with fiction (formal or informal)
- An avid reader who loves story and character
- Strong instincts for structure and storytelling
- Comfortable giving thoughtful, honest feedback
- You don’t need to be a professional editor—just have a great eye
Details:
- Flexible hours
- Familiarity with Jewish themes is a plus
- This project may lead to an ongoing collaboration, as the writer has two future projects in development
